We want to make it as easy as possible for you to get started!
 Many new members ask during their first month or two with us. If you have a question, not included here, or want help getting started, simply ask the first staff member you see. We’re all here to help you. Simply select one of the questions below to find out its answer.

General Questions

Your membership agreement provides you with a specific number of training sessions each month. Training sessions must be used within the month. Unused sessions do not carry over from month-to-month. We make every attempt to ensure you meet, but do not exceed your training sessions each month.
Give us a call or stop by our front desk – we try to accommodate everyone by matching your goals and timing with our specialized coaching staff. Your initial appointment will be with one of our fitness coaches and they will help set-up your schedule with you, either with them or with another member of our team. The fitness coach will set you up on your own program, tailoring the length, frequency and type of workout to your individual needs.

Appointments are scheduled on a recurring basis at the same time and day. If you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment, please call as soon as possible so we can reschedule both you and the fitness coach.

Just say “hi!” Let your fitness coach know that you’re here – grab an ice-cold bottle of water from the fridge, or purchase one of our workout drinks; grab a towel and start your warm up. If you are going to be measured for changes in body fat – don’t start your cardio warm up until afterwards. Your fitness coach will let you know when your measurements will be taken.  If you have any questions or concerns, this is also a great time to get those addressed.
Towels are available free of charge – they are near the back mirrors, so just grab one when you come in.
Your first workout appointment will include instruction on all of the equipment needed for your program at this stage. If you have a question about a piece of equipment, please ask any of the staff. Anyone will be happy to help you!
Most members train in a pair of pants and a t-shirt. Some wear sweats. It doesn’t matter as long as you feel comfortable and can move easily. Wearing a skirt my interfere with exercise performance and my inhibit range of motion, it is therefore not recommended.
Every member is able to freeze their membership for three consecutive months per year. Be sure to ask or staff for the freeze form to suspend your membership until you return.

Training Questions

All sessions last for 50 minutes. Those new to exercising begin gently and more advanced enthusiast progress more aggressively.
Yes you can, just check our hours it is best to let us know when you are coming so we can make sure we can give you our full attention while you are doing your workout. All training sessions are by appointment. We schedule as early as 8:00am or as late as 9:00pm.

You’ll find that setting appointments keep you on track much better – leaving workouts to chance gives you too much opportunity to procrastinate! If you don’t  have an appointment then you are welcome to workout on your own. Just take your file from filing cabinet and enjoy your workout.

Many new members feel that way! The great thing about Queen fitness is, our boutique is private so there is no awkwardness, people in spandex, weird gawking and no need for self-consciousness. You will quickly get comfortable with your fitness coaches and the other members of your small group, and you’ll feel so good after your workout that you’ll look forward to the next one.
That depends on what’s best for you.  Your workout is designed based upon your health history, your goals, any current limitations and your time available for exercise. We will educate you on all of the essential components of good health: flexibility, stamina, endurance, strength and weight reduction, and of course, take you through customized training sessions.  Members generally start to feel better, physically and mentally, the first week they begin their training.
Absolutely!  In addition to kicking off your customized training program, we go through your current nutritional habits. Then we guide you as to what mindful meals should look like as well as providing a list of practical and delicious snacks. Before you know it, proper eating will become second nature for you. You will be getting periodic reminders on text or email to adhere to your eating habits.
